Our family history goes back to the 7th Mandala of the Shakala Samhita of the Rigveda.
Bakshi Meaning the one who gives Salary, our ancestors served in the administrations and defence service to the kingdom of the land. Be it managing of treasury or heading the army, our family has played an integral part in building a strong and responsible society.
Being Mohyal Brahmins, originally known as Bhimwals, were given the title of Bakshi by kings to honour their Valor and Service to the Society.
To summarise Our Heritage,
Sukta 018:1 of Mandala 7 of the Rigveda tells our story perfectly:
"Indra, our forefathers, glorifying thee, have obtained all desirables (Riches); In thy gifts are Cows easy to be milked, Horses, and thou art the liberal donor of wealth to the devout".
